The grind never stops with our ambassador Andre Kzirian. See what drives him in this edition of "Getting to know our FITLIGHT® Family".
Name: Andre Kzirian
Where are you based out of?: Detroit, MI (USA)
Can you share a little about what you do?
I own a private training facility, Troy City Fitness, focused on delivering clients results that will elevate them to the best versions of themselves.
What are three words that describe you:
Passionate, risky, relentless
What do you do in your downtime or to unwind?
I love to travel. I like to spend my time in Michigan working as much as possible so I can book quick weekend trips and enjoy some time off completely detached from work.
Can you share your FITLIGHT® Journey?
I first came across FITLIGHT® about 8 years ago working at a sports performance gym. We were using the system on professional athletes all the time but all I could think about is how awesome this would be to help motivate my general population clients and keep things fun. I was not fortunate to have any pro athlete clientele at the time but I knew the system would be perfect for anyone. A few years later, I bought one for the facility I opened up and it's been a joy working with the system ever since.
What has changed the most since you started in your discipline?
I would say that the technology and science aspect of athletic training has really changed over the years. Everything is data driven and the need to have that information to see improvement or even the deficiencies is key to athletic performance and improvement. It also helps to keep the athletes safer and less likely to overtrain.
Who is an inspiration to you?
David Goggins, he is a beast.
What are you working on that gets you out of bed in the morning?
Start by finding out what activities you like to do. Or find a coach who can make it fun for you. Theres nothing more discouraging then having to do something you hate everyday. you have to find joy in it. Maybe you start out by playing a sport you used to play as a kid, or walking while listening to podcasts and books you enjoy. Step 1 is getting active. Once you make activity a habit in your daily lifestyle, you'll fall in love with the results and naturally find new ways to challenge yourself.
What advice do you have for people that are trying to break into this field of fitness training and performance?
I am 100% focused on expanding my impact. I want to build an online community where people support each other and can tap into everything we do at my gym, Troy City Fitness. For years I've had people message me from all over the world asking for online training and I've never had anything decent to offer. It's time to deliver to those people and create impact through results.
